The Amberg Geotechnics software application is an indispensable tool for surveyors and geotechnical engineers working on underground construction projects. The comprehensive software solution allows efficient and cost-effective observation and evaluation of deformations and settlements in tunnel construction, as well as in operational maintenance. Since Amberg Tunnel covers the entire tunnel construction process and maintenance, it reduces the number of software packages needed, resulting in license cost savings and reduction of training time.
Geotechnics Basic handles geotechnical 3D points (import, analysis, reports). Geotechnics Plus adds force, pressure and temperature sensors, boreholes, extensometers and more analysis types.
A project-wide definition of a sensor, made once: user-defined name, measured physical property, unit, import data format and an optional default warning limit. Instances are then placed in cross sections.
3D point (coordinate triple, m), level point (height), tape extensometer (distance), stress cell (pressure, MPa), thermometer (°C), load cell (force, kN), tilt meter (angle) and rod extensometer with up to 8 arms.
They describe a sensor's position in a cross section and set its symbol and label. They also filter points in analyses and drive longitudinal analyses, which combine points with the same code across cross sections.
ΔH (settlement, strictly vertical), ΔL (transverse displacement) and ΔStng (longitudinal displacement in heading direction), in the project coordinate system.
Define measurement point types and location codes, design geotechnical cross sections, boreholes and points, import measurements, then create and customise an analysis and report.
By reading the Point ID from the file, or by "Nearest point": the closest existing measurement within a search radius gives the ID. If none is found, the ID is read from the file.
Use Undo import(s), select the saved import session and click Undo selected. If the editor is not yet saved, simply close it without saving.
Two analysis bases, each with several analysis types.
Geotechnical measurements can be transferred from the Stored points editor to the Geotechnical editor. Separately, Navigator Tablet (1.28) can sync Geotechnical 3D point measurements directly to GEOvis.
